Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you start a product, we collect:

• the website URL and any notes you give us about your product;
• the audiences, problems, and reels generated from that reading, and which ones you keep or skip;
• anything you write to us about a reel, such as why you like it;
• photos you provide, if any, and the reels’ generated slide images;
• a randomly generated code your browser keeps in local storage, so you can return to a product before you’ve signed in.

If you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We never receive your Google password.

If you sign in with TikTok or connect a TikTok account, we collect that account’s TikTok open ID, display name, and avatar (TikTok calls this user.info.basic), plus an access token and a refresh token that let us post on your behalf. We also read the list of that account’s public posts, with each one’s cover image, title, link, posting time, and views, likes, comments and shares (video.list), to show them on your schedule and analytics, and the account’s follower, following, like and post counts (user.info.stats), to show how the account is doing. We never receive your TikTok password.

How we use it

We send your website text and notes to AI models, through a service called OpenRouter, to work out your audiences and problems and to write reel text. We use your kept problems, and any photos you provide, to build reels. If you connect TikTok, we use your stored tokens only to post a reel or send it to your TikTok drafts when you choose to, either right away or at a time you scheduled, to show your account’s posts on your schedule, and to show your account’s counts — never to post on our own initiative.

We process this data to provide the service you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), and to keep the service secure and stop abuse, which is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the services that run Swipe to Grow:

• Convex, our database, hosted in the EU, which stores your product, reels, and account data;
• Vercel, which hosts the app itself;
• OpenRouter and the AI models it routes to, which process the website text and notes you give us;
• Google, when you sign in with Google;
• TikTok, when you sign in with TikTok, connect an account, post a reel or send it to your drafts (now or at the time you scheduled), or open your schedule.

Processing your data through these services can mean it’s handled outside the country you’re in, including outside the EU for the AI models and for TikTok.

TikTok data specifically

Your TikTok tokens are stored only to let you post from Swipe to Grow and to show your posts and counts in it. Disconnecting a TikTok account, from the account menu in the app, tells TikTok to end Swipe to Grow’s access and immediately deletes the account’s tokens, its scheduled posts, the list of its posts and its counts. The record of each reel you sent from Swipe to Grow, including which TikTok account it went to, stays with your reels until you delete your account. Content you’ve already posted to TikTok stays on TikTok, under TikTok’s own privacy policy.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s local storage to keep the code mentioned above and basic sign-in state. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your product, reels, and account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, from the account menu in the app, or ask us to, we delete your data, including any stored TikTok tokens, except where we need to keep something briefly to meet a legal obligation.

Children

Swipe to Grow isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone below the minimum age TikTok itself requires for an account.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere, or object to or restrict how we use it, by emailing hello@swipetogrow.com. You can disconnect a TikTok account or delete your account yourself at any time from the account menu in the app.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
